A major responsibility as a leader is to understand ourselves, how others perceive us, and be able to adjust our styles to communicate effectively with those around us.
Let’s consider these questions for a moment:
- Do you understand your natural style and communication preferences at work?
- Do you understand how your style changes or intensifies under stress?
- Does communication feel easy with some members of your team, but with others it feels harder or more delicate?
- Do your team members know how to communicate most effectively with you?
Understanding our own style and preferences is an integral part of our role as leaders, but few of us take the time to fully understand our own styles, which makes it unlikely we’ve thought about other people’s styles and preferences.
When a leader lacks self awareness, they typically have worse judgment, a poor team culture, struggle to relate well with others and fail to see the lessons in their mistakes.
Why is this program so impactful?
In this workshop, we will use a simple framework underpinned by DiSC, where you will gain a deep understanding of your own style and that of your team. You will be able to quickly spot other’s styles, understand how your style has been impacting others, and plan to ensure you’re communicating even more effectively with people across your organisation. Additionally, you’ll:
- Understand your own leadership vulnerabilities, strengths and places for growth
- Understand your style under pressure and how to mitigate some of the effects
- Have greater self-awareness and resilience
- Leave with a plan for engaging your team in discussions about communication and style.
Who should attend:
This workshop is suitable for anyone who leads a team, or is in a role where internal relationships are paramount to their success.

1 x 3 hour interactive online sessions, with comfort breaks. To ensure adequate time for discussion and interaction, this workshop is limited to 12 participants.
