Human Rights in Housing Practice

This course will help you understand the Victorian Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities and build your confidence to apply the Charter to housing practice.  The course provides an understanding of human rights at an international, national, and state level and how human rights fit within the Residential Tenancies legislative framework.

The course takes a participatory and reflective approach to learning, to support understanding of how to apply a rights-based approach to housing management.

• Apply human rights principles to housing practice in line with organisational policies and procedures
• Adopt a housing management approach that focuses on sustaining tenancies
