Jim Spillane is the City of Melbourne’s Principal Policy Officer for Affordable Housing. He has experience in private consulting, and with state and local governments. Jim most recently worked at the City of Vancouver managing rezoning applications for affordable housing and shaping local housing policy.
Growing up in regional Victoria, Jim has always been fascinated by what makes cities great. He develops innovative policy projects, that navigate complex regulatory systems to deliver quality outcomes with community as client. Jim is passionate about research, visual communication, advocacy, and planning processes that drive positive change in our housing markets and facilitate equitable outcomes for all Melburnians.
