2018 was a big year for Women’s Housing Ltd not only did we achieve Housing Association status but we celebrated our 21st birthday! Staff, board and supporters were invited to raise a glass and look back on 21 years providing advocacy, assistance and housing to women at risk of homelessness.
Thanks to the generous support from Herbert Smith Freehills, Women’s Housing Ltd were able to celebrate this milestone with drinks and canapés while looking out at the rooftops of Melbourne on the 42nd floor of Herbert Smith Freehills.
The evening was hosted by Peggy O’Neal, Women’s Housing Ltd board member and Kate Jenkins, Sex Discrimination Commissioner, was in the hot seat for some Q&A. As at all good birthday parties the evening concluded with cake.
Women’s Housing Ltd looks forward to 21 more years continuing to work to find new and better solutions for women seeking affordable housing.
