The Country Fire Authority has a wealth of resources relevant to community housing workers working in high-risk bushfire areas, including online training courses, fact sheets and bushfire plan templates.

The following free e-learning modules provide support workers (or the people they care for) with the tools they need to develop a fire safety plan.

Bushfire Safety for Workers – for any person who works in a high bushfire risk area over summer.

Bushfire Planning: How to support your clients – for people working in the community and social services sector or health sector delivering in-home supports.

Bushfire Planning: You and the person you care for – developed with Carers Victoria for people who are caring for others living in high bushfire risk areas.

Prevent Detect Escape: Home Fire Safety for people at higher risk – for individuals at higher risk from fire, carers, support workers, service providers, and others delivering in-home support.

Each of the modules has additional resources including plan templates for download at the same link. Find the modules and the resources at www.cfa.vic.gov.au/atrisk
