The Victorian Government has recently announced a Jobs Guarantee for graduates of the Diploma of Community Services. This program will guarantee all students a job in the social services sector for a minimum of 12 months when they graduate from the Diploma of Community Services between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2024.
This program is intended to help address workforce shortages in the community sector by attracting new graduates and connecting those graduates to current vacancies.
A package of assistance will be available to community sector employers to take on new graduates and the Department of Premier and Cabinet is currently consulting with Community Sector Peaks and others on the best way to provide that support.
