Transfer of properties and property management services between various community housing providers (CHP’s) as well as between state housing authorities and CHP’s is an increasing method of managing the supply of affordable housing. All changes of tenancy management have an impact on the renter and require a lens that puts the client at the centre of the process.

This objectives of this workshop are to:

  • Introduce delegates to the stock transfer process and their responsibilities as a social housing rental provider
  • Prepare delegates to manage a tenancy through the change of service provider
  • Understand the renter’s rights and the challenges that might present themselves
  • Consider how to support and engage renters during a stock transfer process
  • Learn how to communicate the changes and manage difficult conversations with renters

The workshop takes a blended learning approach which provides fantastic added value:

  • A 2.5 hour on-line workshop with a 10 minute comfort break
  • Join the workshop from any device, laptop, desktop, tablet or mobile phone
  • Downloadable materials that reinforce the learning outcomes

The workshop would be suitable for:

  • Anyone who is responsible for providing tenancy management services for properties associated with stock transfer
  • Those people who are responsible for developing policies and procedures related to tenancy management pre, during and post a stock transfer
