This training will help you as a representative of a community housing organisation to prepare and present effectively to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).  

Learning outcomes 

  • Understand the role and structure of the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal  
  • Identify the types of tenancy issues that may involve a VCAT process 
  • Demonstrate how the Human Rights Charter applies when dealing with breaches and disputes 
  • Understand correct processes to follow when dealing with VCAT

  • Maximising the potential of Zoom software  
  • Orders of Possession/Termination  
  • Adjournments, Withdrawals and Warrants of Possession
