Affordable Housing Planning Agreements – Advanced

This interactive full day session is designed to enhance participant knowledge and skills to engage in, develop and execute successful negotiated Affordable Housing Planning Agreements as part of planning scheme amendment and permit processes.

Drawing on case studies of actual negotiated outcomes, the session will examine:

• Agreement structures
• How arrangements have been reflected in planning schemes and agreements
• Perspectives from community housing, development and local council experiences.

Participants will also have the opportunity to practically explore and apply their knowledge through a negotiation role play.

Who is the course for?

People with some knowledge and/or experience with affordable housing planning agreements who are seeking to deepen their understanding to inform, negotiate and deliver affordable housing planning agreements, including:

• Local Government staff
• Community housing sector staff
• Planning consultants
• Property development managers

Course participates should have completed the Affordable Housing Planning Agreements – Introduction half day course OR have experience in Affordable Housing generally or specifically in Affordable Housing planning negotiations.
