The Residential Tenancies Act (RTA) is the most important legislative framework for the Community Housing Sector. This course will give new housing and tenancy workers basic skills, and an understanding of the RTA and how to use it in their day-to-day work. It will include a summary of all the changes to the RTA that came into effect on 29 March 2021.

This training would be suitable for:

  • New housing workers
  • Experienced housing workers that need to know more about the RTA
  • Experienced housing workers or managers who are new to the community sector
  • Managers who need to incorporate RTA procedures into their organisation’s policies and procedures

 

Numbers will be capped at 14 to allow for maximum participation and discussion

Jason Perdriau

The course is facilitated by Jason Perdriau, Director, Leading Practice

Jason has fifteen years’ experience in the social housing sector which has included managing community and public housing programs and leading projects to support the growth and improvement of the social housing sector. Before working in social housing, Jason practised as a solicitor in the private and community sectors, and he has an MBA, Bachelor of Laws and Diploma of Social Housing.  When he’s not working, he enjoys cooking, mountain biking, walking his dog and being in nature.
